    Great spot for climbing trips!

Had an awesome week here! Super comfy beds and enough showers, so no waiting. The chill kitchen was perfect for cooking, and there was plenty of fridge space. Mateo, River, and Max were super friendly and helpful. Just a heads up, the upstairs door in the John Muir room could've used some work—it was tricky to close. Loved the picnic area too!

    small room

We had an amazing time exploring the nearby mountains and lakes during our group vacation. The place has a great vibe, and the host made us feel right at home. I'd recommend bringing your own coffee to enjoy in the cozy courtyard. it really adds to the experience. Just be aware that the rooms can be a bit snug for multiple people.

The only downside was the tiny room we stayed in. the two queen beds took up most of the space, making it feel a bit cramped.

The Hostel California in Bishop is vibrant and welcoming, making it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts. Charming and Comfortable Stay

I had a great stay in a cozy mixed dorm room. The atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, perfect for solo travelers. I appreciated the clean facilities and the chance to connect with other travelers in the community kitchen. However, the lack of air conditioning made sleeping a bit uncomfortable during the hot nights.

The atmosphere is cute with a bunch of friendly folks just hanging around & the shared kitchen was a lifesaver for me, had all the basic utensils. One night, I played Settlers of Catan with some fellow guests which turned into a real fun time, much better than I anticipated.

Not exactly a steal, but considering the vibes, it was still acceptable.

    charming garden

I loved my stay in a cozy double room with a shared bathroom, especially having morning coffee in the charming garden and chilling in the relaxing TV room afterward. The vibe was just right for unwinding after a long day, even though the bathroom could use a little spruce-up. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d recommend bringing earplugs just in case! 😊
